Job summary

Yorkview Nursing and Rehab in York, PA is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our skilled facility. You will conduct activities for residents under the guidance of the Director of Activities, ensuring engagement and well-being.

The role includes assisting residents with daily living tasks, keeping attendance and progress records, and supporting a variety of programs such as crafts, newsletters, and events. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior long-term care or elderly/disabled care experience desirable.
• Available to work every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct activities for residents under the direction of the Activities Director.
• Assist residents to accomplish daily living tasks and personal activities.
• Maintain records of residents' progress and activity attendance.
• Assist with craft supplies, materials and equipment for activities, and supervise residents during crafts.
• Escort residents to activity programs and help with newsletter preparation and announcements.
• Support residents in using their potential and encourage participation in crafts and activities.
