Job summary

Sunnyslope Nursing Home is seeking an Activity Aid to create a sense of community and promote resident well-being through engaging activities and programs in Kentucky. You will lead scheduled activities that touch on spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressions, and you will promote programs to residents and their families.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior experience as an activity assistant, and empathy with residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as activity assistant preferred.
• Experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare preferred.
• Empathy and care for residents.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical, and creative expressions
• Assist with organizing, planning, and implementing programs promoting resident well-being
• Promote and communicate programs and events to residents
• Motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
• Interact with families and visitors of our residents
