Job summary

Villaspring in Erlanger, KY is seeking an Activity Assistant to provide engaging activities for residents, promoting psychosocial, spiritual and emotional well-being. The role involves group and 1:1 activities, calendar planning, and assisting with meals and events in a state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility.

The position emphasizes teamwork with the activity department, customer service, and participation in staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to become State Tested Nurse Aide to participate in activity delivery.
• Willing to learn and communicates well with others.
• Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Work with other members of the Activity Department to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities for residents.
• Provide input with the activity calendar and plan activities meeting resident needs.
• Conduct all scheduled groups and individual activities.
• Attend outings and operate bus lift and other bus equipment.
• Attend Team Member meetings as needed.
• Assist with Resident meals (serve/feed).
• Assist with Theme Weeks and special events.
• Document activity participation attendance for all groups and activities.
• Assist with Customer Service Surveys.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
