Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking an Activities Assistant/Aide to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of resident activity programs in our facility. You will help observe resident engagement and document progress, while maintaining a warm, calm environment and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities include preparing activity spaces, following care plans, purchasing supplies as needed, and safeguarding resident information.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department is preferred.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Develop and maintain rapport with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Prepare activity rooms/areas for scheduled programs and advise on equipment needs.
• Follow care plan to provide daily activities for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
