Job summary

Lakeview Manor, a facility within Ciena Healthcare, seeks an Activity Director or Assistant Activity Director to facilitate engaging programs that promote residents' physical, mental and social well‑being. The role supports a welcoming environment and strong community belonging.

You will assist residents to activities, maintain records, and collaborate with families and volunteers, while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED requirement.
• Previous experience in activities, recreation therapy, and long-term care preferred.
• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates activity programs as planned to meet the needs and interests of each Resident.
• Assist Resident to and from activity programs and outings as scheduled.
• Maintains good rapport with family members and encourages family support in programs.
• Completes records indicating Resident’s attendance and participation in activities in a timely basis.
• Provides input to assessment and evaluation of Residents' participation and communicates concerns to supervisor.
• Supports Residents' individual needs and preferences.
• Assists with escorting Residents to and from activities.
• Collaborates with volunteers and volunteer programs as requested.
• Cleans equipment and materials used for activities.
• Participates in survey, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
