Job summary

Signature HealthCARE, LLC in Louisville, KY is seeking an Activities Assistant to support resident engagement and wellbeing in our East Louisville facility.

You will help plan and deliver social, therapeutic, and recreational activities, both inside and outside the facility, and ensure calendars and documentation meet state standards. CNA experience is helpful, but not required, and previous activities/healthcare exposure is welcome.

Qualifications

• Previous Activities/Healthcare Experience preferred, but not required.
• CNA preferred, but not required.
• Skilled at working with residents who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the activities to meet the social, emotional, physical and other therapeutic needs of residents.
• Assist in the initiation and promotion of activities both within the facility and outside the facility.
• Provide in room activities for residents who are unable to attend daily events.
• Assist in the creation of an ongoing calendar of activities.
• Consistently meet State Standards for activity scheduling and documentation
• Solicit the involvement of the community when planning facility activities and events.
