Job summary

Viva Senior Living at Oak Ridge in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking an Activities Assistant to support planning and executing engaging programs for residents, promoting physical, social, and emotional well-being.

You will work closely with the Activities Director, encourage participation, help with schedules and materials, maintain safety during activities, and document participation while collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in recreational activities, caregiving, or related fields preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with elderly or special needs populations.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Support the Activities Director in developing activity schedules and materials.
• Encourage resident participation and provide assistance as needed during activities.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all activities.
• Document resident participation and report any concerns or observations to the Activities Director.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
