Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and direct activities and excursions for the Community, enhancing residents’ independence and quality of life.

The role supports the Activity Director by promoting resident participation through various engaging events, and includes coordinating volunteers, ensuring safety, and collaborating with staff. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma, and pass background checks; driving is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB tests.
• For health and safety, vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, events, speakers, movies, exercise, clubs, games, art, and educational classes.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and with tact with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
