Job summary

Goldwater Care seeks an Activity Director to design and implement activities that enhance residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. You will coordinate a monthly activity calendar and supervise Activity Aides, ensuring accurate documentation of MDS reports and progress notes.

In collaboration with the Administrator, you will help develop the activity budget and creatively source funds to support engaging programs for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities
• Prepare, plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities
• Oversight of Activity Aides
• Properly document MDS reports and progress notes
• Participate with the Administrator in developing the activity budget, including creatively sourcing funds
