Qualifications

• Must have genuine empathy and patience to care for residents and team.
• Must have a caring approach and be willing to address residents’ needs.
• Experience as an Activity Director in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Must be creative and have an outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an ongoing program of activities for residents’ physical, mental, and psychological well-being.
• Develop, plan, and organize programs for therapeutic groups.
• Teach and facilitate programs to support rehabilitation and health.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Contribute to activity care plan development and implementation.
• Assist with resident assessments.
