Arbors of Ohio is seeking an Activities Assistant to organize and participate in person-focused activity programming for residents. You will assist the activity director, create engaging opportunities, and document participation in resident records to capture the impact of your approaches.

The role emphasizes using therapy modalities like music, art, pet therapy, and group activities to foster community and well-being, with events and seasonal celebrations on the calendars.

Qualifications

• Experience in activity programming within care settings.
• Ability to document participation and outcomes in medical records.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new modalities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident activity director as needed.
• Utilize the environment to provide comfort and stimulation for residents.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Develop and post monthly calendars for residents and families.
• Support resident well-being using the Biopsychosocial model.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
• Decorate the facility and help prepare for events and seasonal parties.
• Promote volunteer involvement in the community.
