Job summary

Arbors at Streetsboro is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the resident activity program, facilitate individual and group activities, and help create engaging, value-driven experiences for residents. You will collaborate with the activities director and care team to promote well-being and community involvement.

The role involves organizing events, documenting participation, and using diverse modalities to enhance quality of life for residents in a long‑term care setting.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the resident activity director as needed.
• Use environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Foster a sense of community within the center environment.
• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Use various modalities (pet therapy, music, art) for programming.
• Decorate facility and assist with events and seasonal parties.
• Develop and publish monthly calendar for residents and families.
• Support residents in rooms with appropriate activities.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
• Store and clean activity equipment after use.
• Support resident well-being using Biopsychosocial model.
• Provide comfort/support to residents and families as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
