Job summary

Oak Park Place in Burlington, WI is seeking an Activity Assistant for full-time positions with 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. shifts. You will help plan, organize, and run social and recreational events to enhance residents' well-being and social engagement.

Ideal candidates have a positive attitude, are eager to learn, and may have prior experience with the elderly or in activities. Perks include health, dental, vision, paid time off, and more.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director to plan, organize, and execute a balanced activity program.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure resident needs are met.
• Assess interests of individuals or groups and tailor activities accordingly.

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly

Requirements

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred
