Job summary

Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Raymo seeks an Activity Aide to assist the Activity Director in planning, coordinating, and directing residents' activity programs. You will collaborate on events and ensure activities suit all residents, including those who are bedfast.

The role requires coordinating calendars, producing a monthly schedule, and supporting newsletter efforts while participating in community events and staff trainings. CNA preferred.

Qualifications

• School diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
• Previous experience in activity or recreational department in long-term care or related industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate individual and group activities based on residents' needs.
• Ensure activities cover high and low functioning residents.
• Schedule beauty parlor and barber activities where applicable.
• Provide one-to-one activities for bedfast residents and document in records.
• Prepare and post monthly calendar and share with residents and rooms.
• Assist with generating the facility newsletter.
• Participate in community events related to the facility's interests.
• Attend in-services as necessary.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Support Residents’ Council and night/weekend activities when needed.
• Deliver resident mail daily.
• Other duties as assigned by Activity Director/Administrator.
