Job summary

Greenville Care Center is seeking an Activities Aide to deliver engaging, person-centered programs for residents. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities aligned with care plans, working with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resident satisfaction.

You will schedule movies, plan events, and provide games, helping residents stay active and connected while maintaining a safe, respectful environment. A high school diploma and ability to communicate in English are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to understand English.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
• Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines.
• Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities in accordance with the resident’s care plan and supervisor directions.
• Develop and maintain good working rapport with other departments to ensure activities run smoothly.
• Participate in community planning related to residents' interests and needs.
• Interviews with residents or family to obtain activities information and involve them in planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for activities programs and prep rooms.
• Provide daily activities for residents, including scheduling movies and planning parties.
• Oversee residents engaged in activities to promote well-being.
• Make routine visits to residents and assist with crafts and projects.
• Encourage participation in activities to promote physical, social, and mental well-being.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and respect residents' treatment refusals.
