Job summary

Journey is seeking an Activities Assistant to support our care team in creating engaging monthly activity calendars and coordinating group and one-on-one activities for residents in West Virginia. You will collaborate closely with the Activities Director to plan events and outings that enhance well-being and community life.

The role emphasizes resident interaction, observation, and accurate documentation of participation and preferences, with CNA certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Activity coordination: assist the Activities Director in planning, posting a monthly calendar of activities accessible to residents and visitors.
• Resident engagement: interview residents or families to understand activity preferences and track participation.
• Observation and reporting: monitor moods and involvement during activities and report changes or concerns.

Education
