Job summary

Journey is seeking an Activities Assistant to support residents by planning monthly activity calendars, coordinating group and 1-on-1 activities, and organizing events with the Activities Director. You will help create engaging experiences that enhance well-being and community life for residents.

The role emphasizes strong communication, observation, and resident engagement. A high school diploma is required, and CNA certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Director in planning, creating, and posting a monthly calendar of activities.
• Conduct interviews with residents or family members to understand activity preferences and document responses.
• Monitor residents' moods and participation during activities and report changes to the Activities Director.
