Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Compassionate, dependable, patient, and organized.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoys working with seniors and engaging with residents.
• Ability to work independently while also working as part of a team.
• Ability to work the required schedule and rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational and group activities for residents.
• Help organize entertainment, holiday celebrations, games, social events, and special programs.
• Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Provide support and companionship to residents during activities.
• Transport or assist with transporting residents to and from activities as needed.
• Accompany residents on special events and community outings.
• Facilitate activities while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.
• Communicate with residents, families, and facility staff as needed.
• Encourage family participation in activities and special events.
• Set up and clean activity areas before and after programs.
• Organize, maintain, and store activity equipment and supplies.
• Help create a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
