Responsibilities

• Building leadership among the staff and with the administration in order to bring about consensus and common shared ownership of the vision and purpose of the work of the school.
• Making the content they teach engaging, relevant, and meaningful to students’ lives by aligning instruction with the common core and standards.
• Teaching core content with added focus on critical thinking, problem-solving, and ICT literacy.
• Facilitating instruction using a variety of instructional methods and integrating technology.
• Using various methods to assess student learning and to help them work in teams and develop leadership qualities.
• Collaborating with families and significant adults to adapt teaching for students with special needs; upholding fairness in the school community.
• Demonstrating ethical principles: honesty, integrity, fair treatment, respect for others.
