Job summary

The Metal Museum on Bluff Campus is seeking an Artist Residency Site & Studio Manager. This full-time role ensures campus safety, readiness, and welcoming conditions for resident artists and the public, including opening/closing gates and coordinating routine maintenance with operations staff.

You will oversee studio safety, manage supplies, communicate with residents, and provide on-site guidance to ensure smooth operations during the five-day public schedule.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in metal studio or fabrication environment preferred.
  • Experience in artist residency, community studio, or arts nonprofit preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Open/close Bluff Campus gates and public areas before/after hours.
  • Monitor site readiness and ensure public areas are prepared for visitors.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs with Facilities/Operations staff and contractors.
  • Oversee safety orientation, shop oversight, and consumables management.
  • Serve as on-site point of contact for resident artists and safety oversight.
