Augusta University is looking for an administrative professional to support the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program. The role involves streamlining procedures for residents, maintaining program databases, and coordinating travel and reimbursements.

College/Department Information The Medical College of Georgia (MCG) is one of the nation's largest medical schools by class size, with 304 students per class. The MCG educational experience is anchored by the main campus in Augusta, with regional clinical campuses for third- and fourth-year students across the state, and two four-year campuses located in Athens (in partnership with the University of Georgia) and in Savannah (in partnership with Georgia Southern University). MCG’s expanding partnerships with physicians and hospitals across Georgia currently provide more than 350 sites where students can experience the full spectrum of medicine, from complex care hospitals to small-town solo practices. MCG and its teaching hospitals also provide postgraduate education to approximately 575 residents and fellows in 50 different Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education‑approved programs. Job Summary To provide direct assistance to the Program Director in coordinating all aspects of the Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program as needed, including facilitating and streamlining procedures for the residents. Must exercise judgment in decisions regarding priorities and establishing efficient work practices. Manage and support program personnel through administrative support and maintain program databases, records, files and compilation of reports. Also manages residency program meal coordination, supply orders, travel, and reimbursements. Provide administrative support for the Surgical Simulation and Education program. Coordinate department CME events, enter on‑call schedule, assist with residency interviews and graduation, coordinate rural health initiative for general surgery, and provide cross coverage within the Division of Vascular Surgery.
Maintaining databases and monitoring compliance with requirements. Coordination of all aspects of the Vascular Surgery Residency: Oversee resident evaluation process (New Innovations, CCC, PEC); Tracking faculty and resident attendance at didactics and meetings, maintaining resident personnel files, entering on‑call schedule, coordinating travel approvals and reimbursements, ordering supplies, and preparation of events (interviews, graduation, wellness) for the residency program.
Maintain calendars, coordinate meetings, answer/triage phone calls, coordinate travel arrangements and reimbursements, prepare check requests, maintain time‑keeping records, assist with credentialing paperwork, serve as backup administrative support for the Division of Vascular Surgery.
Assist surgical simulation director and faculty with simulation didactics schedule and execution of didactic lectures and labs; Assist with simulation and skills lab inventory, organization, and functionality; Track and coordinate resident skills testing (FLS, FES, STEP 3, COMLEX 3, ERRA, SRRA, etc.); Maintain resident privileges in ePRIV.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience with UME/GME programs.
