Job summary

Abbott House in New York is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to support the Residence Manager in supervising operations and ensuring safety and well-being of individuals served. You will coordinate medical appointments, review MARs, supervise staff, assist with budgets, attend meetings, and help maintain a clean, supportive environment while working a varied schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Two years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Represent yourself and the Agency in a professional and courteous manner.
• Know, understand, and continually practice the Agency’s Standards of Conduct.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct support staff as it relates to data collection, active treatment and compliance with Abbott House’s policy and procedures.
• Coordinate medical appointments (post on medical calendar).
• Review and sign off on all medical consults.
• Monitor medication administration compliance via MARs and monthly checks.
• Assist in budgeting and household financial tracking.
• Attend meetings and prepare written reports as requested.
• Provide training to Direct Support staff as required by supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment and ensure program activities are implemented.
• Support community inclusion and recreational activities.
