Job summary

Tusculum University seeks a dedicated student life professional to support campus programming, student engagement, and residence life operations. You will lead WOW activities, coordinate training for staff, advise student organizations, and provide data-driven program insights.

The role requires collaboration across campus, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple events and initiatives throughout the academic year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in student life, student personnel, higher education administration, counseling, or related fields.
• Experience in residence hall management and staff supervision.
• Experience planning student engagement programs in higher education.
• Experience working with underrepresented and/or minority student populations.

Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes the mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of Tusculum University.
• Develop educational programming and quality student life programming with campus partners.
• Welcome Orientation Week (WOW) and Pioneer WOW schedule of events.
• Serve as WOW committee chair and lead Week of Welcome activities.
• Develop and implement training for residence hall staff and Pioneer Peers.
• Advise the Student Government Association, Tusculum Activities Board, and student clubs.
• Provide data and metrics for programming to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Retention.
• Assist in housing matters and manage intramural program oversight.
• Oversee Resident Assistant supervision, hiring, training, and evaluations.
• Support daily Office of Student Affairs functions and on-call duties.
• Participate in shuttle services to regional airports and promote Tusculum mission.
