Job summary

Penn State University in University Park seeks a Senior Associate Director of Residence Life to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a multi-campus Residence Life program serving 20,000 residents and 350 student leaders.

This role partners with Housing and Food Services and other Student Affairs units to foster student success, wellbeing, and belonging through staff supervision and crisis management.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience including 3+ years supervisory.
• Clearance: PA State Police, PA Child Abuse History, FBI background checks.
• Proven crisis management and staff supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as department-wide contact for residential conduct and liaison to the Office of Student Accountability and Conflict Response.
• Meet with campus partners on activity in the residential communities including University Police, Housing, CARE Team, and others supporting students and identities they hold.
• Monitor and update the electronic climate report system and Maxient.
• Update residence hall policies as they relate to the Student Code of Conduct, Housing Contract, and University policy.
• Handle student emergencies and crisis response; participate in weekday and weekend on-call rotation.
• Advise student organizations representing residential students and student leaders.
