Job summary

Baker College of Owosso is seeking a Residence Hall Coordinator to lead a vibrant residence hall community. You will oversee administrative tasks, develop programs for student growth, and co-supervise Resident Assistants, ensuring safety and communication with campus leadership.

Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree (Student Affairs preferred), a valid driver's license, and experience in residence hall occupancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preference for a major in Student Affairs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Prior experience in Residence Hall Occupancy.
• First Aid & CPR certification or obtain within six months of employment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, and Social Media; strong interpersonal & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and annual reports and communicate residence hall policies to residents.
• Enforce residence hall and College policies and administer discipline with supervisor.
• Coordinate with College administration; set quarterly and annual goals; manage off-season use of residence halls.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and support Resident Assistant staff; conduct regular staff meetings.
• Participate in in-services, professional development, and training programs.
• Ensure opening/closing of residence halls and conduct orientations; foster a positive living-learning environment.
• Serve as a positive role model and brand ambassador on and off campus.
