Job summary

Our Lady of the Lake University is seeking an Assistant Director of Residence Life to help lead the University’s housing and residence life program. You will supervise live-in staff, coordinate programs, and partner with UPD and Student Affairs to support student success and safety.

The role requires a Master’s in a relevant field, 3+ years in residence life, and on-campus housing responsibilities. A furnished on-campus apartment and meal plan are included in compensation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, psychology, social work, student affairs, higher education, or a related field required; a bachelor's degree plus four years of related full-time experience may substitute for the master's degree.
• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible post-bachelor's experience in residence life, housing, student affairs, or a related higher education environment required.
• One year of supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serve in regular on-call supervisory rotation and respond to emergencies and safety concerns affecting residential students and facilities.
• Ensure safety of students by reporting issues, tracking inventory, and enforcing residential and student handbooks.
• Coordinate recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating RA staff.
• Oversee development and implementation of residential education programming model.
• Supervise and support assigned RAs by reviewing program plans and content and monitoring deadlines.
• Conduct weekly RA meetings and bi-weekly one-on-one meetings with RA staff.
• Oversee on-duty SOC and RA on-duty schedule and onboarding paperwork submission.
