Job summary

Residence Inn Denver West Golden is seeking an Assistant General Manager to oversee multiple hotel departments, partner with the General Manager, and drive profitability while maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead with confidence, manage daily operations, and coach a team through development programs, ensuring standards are met and guests leave satisfied. This role focuses on service excellence and operational excellence in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or F&B) or a 4-year degree with 2–3 years experience
• Supervisory background required
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure
• Must hold or obtain Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid certifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by managing teams and partnering with the General Manager
• Proactively spot challenges and tackle them to maintain smooth hotel operations
• Recruit, hire, and train Guest Services staff and develop team members
• Listen actively and maintain clear communication with colleagues and guests
• Work with financial data to support hotel operations
• Utilize Windows for management reporting
• Uphold professional appearance and grooming standards
• Provide hospitality-focused service to guests and teammates

Education & Experience

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2–3 years, or a two-year degree with 3–4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
