Job summary

The New School is seeking Community Assistants to support the daily operation of residence hall offices for the Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 academic year. Duties include graphic design, social media support, office coverage, and assisting students and parents with questions.

Ideal candidates are student workers who are detail‑oriented, creative, and able to work under pressure. Training is provided, with hours from 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday, 10–15 hours per week on campus.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift packages that weigh at least 20 pounds.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Clear communication skills: listening, verbal & written skills etc.
• Dexterity, efficiency, and self-motivation to sort large volumes of mail.
• Good organizational skills, reliable, dependable, and attentive to details
• Ability to complete administrative tasks neatly and legibly
