Job summary

Felician University invites applications for Adjunct Faculty in Information Literacy in the School of Arts & Sciences, University Library Department for the 2026-2027 academic year. This part-time role involves 1–2 courses per semester with day and evening classes, online and traditional formats available.

Under mentorship of full-time faculty, adjuncts provide classroom experiences grounded in best practices for higher education and support the Franciscan mission of the University.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Science (ALA/AASL accredited) or Master’s degree in Communications.
• 1+ years’ experience teaching information literacy at the baccalaureate level.
• Familiarity with the ACRL Information Literacy Framework.
• Proficient with library databases and internet resources.
• Experience with D2L Brightspace (LMS).
• Willingness to teach on both the Lodi and Rutherford campuses.
• Ability to promote Felician Franciscan core values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom experiences grounded in best practices for higher education.
• Teach information literacy under mentorship of full-time faculty.
• Deliver online and traditional format courses as needed.
• Collaborate with University Library and faculty to support information literacy goals.

Felician University is offering exciting opportunities for Adjunct Faculty in Information Literacy in the School of Arts and Sciences, University Library Department for the 2026-2027 academic year. Under the mentorship of full-time faculty, adjunct faculty provide classroom experiences grounded in “best practices” for higher education and their respective disciplines.

Position Type

Required Education
