Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point is recruiting a Desk Receptionist for Thomson Hall. This student hourly role supports residents and guests, greets visitors, assists with guest registration, and helps coordinate mail and messages at the front desk.

Starting pay is $9.00 per hour with a maximum of 25 hours per week during academic terms. Applicants must pass background checks, be UWSP students, and demonstrate strong communication, friendliness, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Criminal Background Check, Misconduct Reference Check and Position of Trust with vulnerable populations checks required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Willingness to learn and provide courteous service to students and guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and guests of the hall
• Assist in facilitating guest registration
• Serve as a resource to students and guests by answering questions, taking messages, posting signs, etc.
• Facilitate equipment checkout
• Sort and distribute mail
• Assist students with documenting/submitting a work orders
• Keep front desk environment organized and clean
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Hall Director
