Job summary

University of Texas is seeking a Building Attendant II - Facilities on a part-time basis to keep residence halls and UHD facilities clean and well-maintained on the UT Main Campus. You will perform custodial tasks in shared spaces, dining areas, and lounges, and assist with moving supplies and furniture as needed.

The role requires at least six months of custodial or janitorial experience, ability to follow written and oral instructions, and strong interpersonal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial maintenance experience.
• Ability to follow written and oral University and Housing and Dining policies and instructions.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms, offices, residence halls, dining halls, and kitchens.
• Consistently transport trash and supplies between floors.
• Respond to written and oral policies and procedures from supervisors, team leaders, and residents.
• Remove trash from building and take to the exterior trash compactor.
• Vacuum, shampoo, and extract carpets.
• Strip, mop, and wax floors.
• Move and arrange furniture.
