The University of Southern Mississippi is seeking a Custodial Area Supervisor to lead a team responsible for the care, cleaning, and upkeep of Housing and Residence Life facilities in Hattiesburg. The role requires coordinating tasks with the Custodial Supervisor, ensuring timely completion of work, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Strong leadership, attention to safety, and the ability to train staff are essential. This is an essential position with storm duty and on-call requirements.

Formación

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
• Ability to lead a team and manage time and resources effectively.
• Ability to train staff and respond calmly in emergencies.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership to custodial staff and coordinate daily activities.
• Inspect areas, ensure work orders are completed, and adjust schedules as needed.
• Maintain materials and supplies, and train employees on equipment.
• Assist in responding to emergencies after hours and ensure safety compliance.
• Perform cleaning tasks and oversee waste removal and housekeeping.
