Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles is seeking a custodial worker to perform routine cleaning of vacant dwellings, offices, and common areas under direct supervision. You will sweep, mop, strip and wax floors, wash walls and fixtures, clean appliances, and may assist with other duties as assigned; one year of custodial experience is required.
Position involves adherence to safety protocols, pre-employment checks, and potential eligibility for a merit-based promotion within the housing
Special Note: The posted salary is an estimate of the potential annual pay. Final offer will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
Positions allocable to this class perform custodial duties under direct supervision. Cleans vacant dwelling units, offices, and other areas.
One (1) year of custodial experience.

Only the MOST QUALIFIED APPLICANTS will be invited to the testing process, which may include any combination of oral, written and/or performance examination. Applicants must pass each phase of the testing process with a rate of 70% or higher to be placed on the "Certified List". Generation of a Certified List does not mean that there are any vacant and available positions at this time. The Certified List will be available for not less than 6 consecutive calendar months.
If you are invited to the examination process, you will receive an email from a recruiter at the Housing Authority. NO LATER THAN Thursday, OCTOBER 8, 2026. This will be your only notice. There will be no changes to the date(s) of the examination.
