Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CA driver’s license is required.
• Experience in operations of a Family Shelter Program or Residential Treatment/Substance Abuse Program is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft programs is preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification within the first 14 days of employment is required.
• Tuberculosis clearance within the first 7 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and implement all rules and policies.
• Assist in supervising Harbor House Program Monitors.
• Support administration, program, or resident duties.
• Maintain a safe Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter.
• Oversee emergency disaster preparedness and response.
• Inform, document and report all incidents.
• Submit weekly statistical reports.
• Assist in searches for contraband.
• Assist in driving assignments and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure fire safety and security for residents.

OVERVIEW:

The Residence Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the administrative, operations, safety, and security of the Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter Program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the operation and implementation of all established rules and policies
• Assist in the supervision of the Harbor House Program Monitors
• Assist in administration, program or resident-related duties
• Maintain a safe and secure Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter
• Assist in the overseeing and supervision of emergency disaster preparedness
• Inform, document, and report all incidents
• Oversee and submit weekly statistical reports
• Support searches in all parts of the Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter for contraband
• Assist in driving assignments
• Respond to all emergencies, and notify the proper staff or agencies
• Responsible for the fire control system, safety, and security of all residents
• Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• CA driver's license (required)
• Experience in operations of a Family Shelter Program, Residential Treatment/Substance Abuse Program
• Experience with Microsoft programs
• First Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment – company provided)
• Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment – company provided)
