The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking a Residence Assistant Manager to support Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter. The role covers administrative, operations, safety and security duties with focus on managing rules, reporting, and resident well‑being.

Key responsibilities include supervision support, driving assignments, emergency response, and maintaining a safe shelter environment. First Aid/CPR and TB clearance are provided and required within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CA driver's license required.
• Experience with Family Shelter programs or related fields preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 14 days (provided).
• Tuberculosis clearance within 7 days (provided).

Responsabilités

• Operate and enforce program rules and policies.
• Assist supervision of Harbor House Program Monitors.

• Maintain a safe Harbor House shelter.
• Oversee emergency disaster preparedness and report incidents.

Shift: 3pm-11:30pm

OVERVIEW:

The Residence Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the administrative, operations, safety, and security of the Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter Program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the operation and implementation of all established rules and policies
• Assist in the supervision of the Harbor House Program Monitors
• Assist in administration, program or resident-related duties
• Maintain a safe and secure Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter
• Assist in the overseeing and supervision of emergency disaster preparedness
• Inform, document, and report all incidents
• Oversee and submit weekly statistical reports
• Support searches in all parts of the Harbor House Family Emergency Shelter for contraband
• Assist in driving assignments
• Respond to all emergencies, and notify the proper staff or agencies
• Responsible for the fire control system, safety, and security of all residents
• Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• CA driver's license (required)
• Experience in operations of a Family Shelter Program, Residential Treatment/Substance Abuse Program
• Experience with Microsoft programs
• First Aid and CPR certification (within first fourteen days of employment - company provided)
• Tuberculosis clearance (within first seven days of employment - company provided)
