Job summary

The Dahill Group, assisting an established Texas E&P company, seeks an Engineering Data Analyst in their Longview corporate office. This role centers on owning analytic work products and data architecture that connects production, reserves, economics, and third-party data for defensible reservoir analyses.

You will design dashboards, maintain surveillance tooling, and support development planning with data prep and scenario execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, science, or related field.
• 3+ years upstream oil and gas analytics or reservoir data roles.
• Data systems design experience integrating multiple sources.
• Ability to recognize analytical outputs and trace issues to source.
• Excel, SQL, Spotfire or Power BI, and ComboCurve or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the reservoir engineering function's data architecture: how databases connect and how new data flows in.
• Establish standards for data integrity across production, reserves, economics, and third-party sources.
• Build automated quality checks and visualization tools for data issues.
• Own and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for the reservoir engineering function.
• Support development planning with data preparation, scenario execution, and economic analyses.
• Maintain Lookback analyses and look for workflow improvements.
