Qualifications

• Open to all undergraduate and graduate students.
• Preferred majors: Actuarial Science, Data Science/Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Risk Management, Statistics; Also accepting: Accounting, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Law, Physics or any other STEM major.
• Successful completion of one CAS/SOA exam is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills - spoken & written, formal/informal presentation.
• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Master's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Risk Management, or equivalent program - in healthy academic standing.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities - clear-thinking, curiosity, integrity, and drive.
• Enthusiasm about learning new knowledge and working in the reinsurance industry.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Review segment analysis, technical checks of actuarial analyses, large loss research, loss development pattern selections.
• Support the development of quarterly monitoring and presentations.
• Work closely with an Actuary on a project including review segment analysis, technical checks of actuarial analyses, large loss research, loss development pattern selections, etc.
• Deliver an end‑of‑internship presentation to the department.
