Job summary

The California Science Center is seeking a Reservations Supervisor to oversee reservations staff, call center, box office, and related desks. You will ensure accurate and speedy processing of walk-up and telephone orders for groups and individuals, and supervise staff performance, training, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years customer service in ticketing or reservations.
• 1+ year supervisory/administrative experience.
• Strong understanding of California Science Center operations.
• Proficient with Avaya, Tessitura and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent attendance and reliability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Typing speed 40 WPM.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise reservations input accuracy.
• Effectively supervise guest calls and staff to minimize wait times.
• Update auto attendant with new film information and scheduling.
• Track habitual guest/reservations problems and report to leadership.
• Train staff on ticketing system, attractions, reception desks, and enforce policies.
• Ensure staff is cross trained in all areas.
• Monitor call volume and conduct audits to improve service.
• Communicate staff or guest issues to leadership promptly.
• Perform other duties as required.
