Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring a full-time Reservations Agent for the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center in Austin, Texas. The role handles guest reservations, promotes hotel services, and upsells products. Flexible schedule; prior reservations/customer service experience preferred.

Job Summary

Assigns guests with making reservations for the hotel. Resolves guest challenges throughout their reservation process. Promotes hotel services, amenities and upsells products to the guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes the reservation process by inputting and retrieving information from the guest and inputting into the computer system confirming pertinent information.
• Ensures room type and prferences are correctly accounted for within guest reservation. Properly accounts for services provided by the hotel.
• Assists guests with processing payments or charges. Accepts and records vouchers, credit, traveler's checks, and other forms of payment.
• Provides guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities.
• Receives special requests from guests, and responds appropriately or forwards requests to appropriate team members for decisions and actions.
• Promptly answers the telephone and email inquiries.
• Fields and resolves guest complaints or escalates for resolution to appropriate department.
• Maintains adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk.
• Performs any special assignment deemed by the GM, Guest Services manager, or Manager on Duty.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
