Compass Group USA in Austin is hiring immediately for a full-time Stewarding Supervisor at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center. The role directs associates during a shift and ensures stewarding and dishwashing tasks meet quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has prior stewarding and dishwashing supervisory experience, strong training and scheduling skills, and a focus on teamwork. We offer full-time hours, competitive pay of $19/hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise a shift of associates in stewarding operations and ensure policies are followed.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate performance, reward high performers and address underperformance.
• Prepare production or activity reports for management and ensure quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• Mentor and develop employees and encourage advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Summary: Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.

• Responsible for providing training and creating work schedules.
• Evaluating the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
• Acts as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
