Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Reservationist in Jacksonville, FL to accept trip reservations by phone in a call-center setting. You will collect trip data, schedule trips, and provide information to passengers while maintaining accurate records and ensuring safety.

Training is available for Paratransit scheduling tools. Responsibilities include handling multiple tasks, following up with passengers, and coordinating with operations, dispatch, and vehicle staff to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with paratransit scheduling using Trapeze PASS is preferred, but not required (will train).
• Possess excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Call center experience is preferred, but not required.
• Computer experience (Outlook, Word, PDF documents, data entry, Teams) is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer passenger calls and collect required trip information for the requested time window.
• Provide system information for current, new, and potential passengers.
• Complete data entry of passenger files and specific trip requests, negotiating times if needed.
• Provide follow-up updates to passengers as scheduled.
• Inform scheduling and dispatch of passenger cancellations promptly.
• Maintain up-to-date passenger records in the database.
• Maintain a safe work area and focus on safety.
• Keep accurate records and filing systems.
• Communicate with operations staff about scheduling or passenger issues; handle multiple tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking a Reservationist to accept trip reservations from eligible passengers, collecting all necessary data via phone is required to schedule trips accordingly. This position is in a call center environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Answer passenger calls collecting all necessary trip information for the permissible time period.
• Provide system information for current and new passengers as well as for potential passengers on accessing the transportation service and using it effectively.
• Complete data entry of passenger file information and for specific trip requests, negotiating requested times where necessary or appropriate.
• Provide feedback to passengers in the way of follow-up calls as a course of duty or as required by schedule changes.
• Communicate passenger cancellations in a timely manner to scheduling, dispatch, or vehicle operations personnel.
• Maintain up to date passenger records in customer database, making all necessary changes in status, client contact information, fare/rider type or other important field entries.
• Maintain a safe work area and a focus on safety to reduce the opportunity for injury to self or other employees.
• Maintain accurate records and appropriate filing systems.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff regarding scheduling or passenger issues.Ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and effectively.
