Job summary

The IPARRT team within WCER and the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin–Madison invites applications for a Researcher I. The role supports evaluation and grants work, data collection, and program evaluation across externally funded projects.

Starting at 100% FTE with potential fluctuation, the position advances grant development, data analysis, literature reviews, and dissemination of results to project stakeholders, and requires collaboration with investigators and leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing externally-funded research and demonstration projects.
  • Experience obtaining external funding for research.
  • Familiar with Competitive Integrated Employment under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Responsibilities

  • Attends project meetings and completes other duties in support of the project evaluation.
  • Assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding.
  • Develops data collection protocols to obtain data to achieve the evaluation plan.
  • Collects and analyzes basic research data, conducts experiments and interviews, and documents results.
  • Assists with the development of research methodologies and procedures.
  • Conducts literature reviews, prepares reports and materials, and disseminates information to appropriate entities.
  • Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership.
  • Trains individuals and groups on equipment operations, research protocols, and techniques.
