Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Multi-functional Research Administration Manager to oversee pre- and post-award research administration for CAI faculty. You will manage sponsored projects across the grant lifecycle, supporting proposal development, award management, compliance, and closeout.

The role requires adapting to a dynamic research environment while coordinating with campus partners and leadership to ensure timely deliverables and effective processes.

Qualifications

• Experience applying fiscal and administrative rules for sponsored projects.
• Experience with pre- and post-award research administration including budget planning.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource to leadership and staff and liaise with partners and stakeholders.
• Submit proposals, agreements, or invoices to sponsors on behalf of the PI/project director.
• Handle proposal submission, contract negotiation, and award setup for a unit.
• Manage financial compliance, audits, and reporting for a unit.
• Implement policies and procedures for sponsored project administration.
• Provide training on sponsor policy and processes to faculty and staff.
