Job summary

The Wisconsin Evaluation Collaborative (WEC) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison conducts and supports program evaluations in education and community systems. A Researcher I will contribute to data collection, cleaning, analysis, visualization, and reporting, while helping develop methodologies and interpretation of results as part of evaluation projects.

The role includes assisting with grant development, literature reviews, and dissemination of findings through reports and presentations,

Qualifications

Two+ years of experience working with educational data (K-12 student and staffing data).
Experience cleaning and analyzing large state-wide and school district data sets (WI DPI data).
Experience with public schools, districts, or state education organizations.

Responsibilities

Assists in developing grant applications and proposals to secure research funding.
Collects and analyzes basic research data; conducts experiments/interviews; documents results per policies.
Assists with development of research methodologies and procedures.
Performs literature reviews; prepares reports; disseminates information and assists with publications.
Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership.
Trains individuals on equipment, research protocols, and techniques within a lab or research area.
