The Division of Unclaimed Funds within the Ohio Commerce Department seeks staff to identify owners of dormant accounts, contact claimants, and support in special projects. This role focuses on research, data gathering, and outreach efforts to reunite Ohioans with their funds.

Responsibilities include handling customer inquiries by phone and email, reviewing finder agreements when needed, and contributing to ongoing projects within the division.

Qualifications

• 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in conducting research studies using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques & preparing reports, records &/or technical evaluations related to research conducted.

What You'll Do

The Division of Unclaimed Funds reunites Ohioans with their hard-earned but forgotten money. This includes taking reports of unclaimed funds that result when an account becomes dormant, and the business no longer has contact information for the account owner, holding these funds for safekeeping and working aggressively to track down the rightful owner.
