Responsibilities

Description

Provides expertise in support of research projects in social science, behavioral science, or humanities, including psychology, sociology, education, etc. Performs advanced testing procedures, data collection, and analysis. Prepares reports. May work with human subjects and contribute to grant proposal development. Ensures experiments are performed according to specifications. Understands and applies fundamental theoretical concepts. Develops understanding of advanced theoretical concepts.

The Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science is responsible for working with the PI and PD in the implementation of human subjects research conducted with men and women in the ALMA Study. Incumbent will be responsible for data collection. Incumbent will describe the study procedures to potential participants, evaluate eligibility, obtain informed consent as appropriate, schedule participants, and oversee the completion of computer-assisted structured interviews on physical and mental health behaviors. Additionally, Incumbent will be responsible for tracking and maintaining subjects’ contact information, scheduling and conducting follow-up assessments, and obtaining EMA data. Incumbent will attend weekly online meetings with remote leadership. Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science. will also perform other project-related tasks as assigned. This position is for one year with the possibility for renewal, as this is a multi year project.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
