Job summary

The University of Houston, Department of Psychology, seeks a Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science to support the ALMA Study. You will work with the PI and PD, performing data collection and preparing reports as part of a multi-year project.

Proficiency in English and Spanish is required, with education or experience serving as the basis for qualification. You will manage participant procedures, consent, scheduling, and interviews, and will track contact information and follow-up assessments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and Spanish required.
• Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum of one year of directly job-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection and analysis for ALMA Study.
• Describe study procedures to potential participants and obtain informed consent.
• Schedule participants and oversee computer-assisted structured interviews on health behaviors.
• Track and maintain subjects’ contact information and coordinate follow-up assessments.
• Attend weekly online meetings with remote leadership.
• Prepare and edit research papers, proposals and reports as needed.
• Contribute to grant proposal development and ensure compliance with study protocols.
