Description

Provides expertise in support of research projects in socialscience, behavioral science, or humanities, including psychology,sociology, education, etc. Performs advanced testing procedures,data collection, and analysis. Prepares reports. May work withhuman subjects and contribute to grant proposal development.Ensures experiments are performed according to specifications.Understands and applies fundamental theoretical concepts. Developsunderstanding of advanced theoretical concepts.

The Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science is responsible forworking with the PI and PD in the implementation of human subjectsresearch conducted with men and women in the ALMA Study. Incumbentwill be responsible for data collection. Incumbent will describethe study procedures to potential participants, evaluateeligibility, obtain informed consent as appropriate, scheduleparticipants, and oversee the completion of computer-assistedstructured interviews on physical and mental health behaviors.Additionally, Incumbent will be responsible for tracking andmaintaining subjects’ contact information, scheduling andconducting follow-up assessments, and obtaining EMA data. Incumbentwill attend weekly online meetings with remote leadership.Researcher 1 Social Behavioral Science. will also perform otherproject-related tasks as assigned. This position is for one yearwith the possibility for renewal, as this is a multi yearproject.

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of boththeoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical orprofessional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than oneprofessional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normallyobtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree froma college or university or an equivalent in-depth specializedtraining program that is directly related to the type of work beingperformed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year ofdirectly job-related experience.
