NEOMED's Department of Biomedical Sciences seeks a Research Technician in the Liu Lab to assist with mouse-model research and data collection under supervision.
You will collaborate to set up experiments, maintain the lab, record results, and ensure compliance with safety, ethical, and animal-use standards.
Starting pay ranges from $13.98 to $14.50 per hour, with strong benefits and opportunities for growth; a Bachelor's degree is required and one year of lab experience is preferred.
Under direction of the Principal Investigator,assist in conducting experiments, collecting and analyzing data,maintaining laboratory and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and ethical standards.
Collaborate with researchers to setup experiments and perform research projects. Execute experimentalprocedures with precision and attention to detail. Adhere to safetyprotocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.Follow ethical standards and regulatory requirements applicable tothe research field.
Maintain laboratory in aclean and orderly manner. Ensure the proper functioning ofequipment and promptly report any issues.
Record and organizedata generated from experiments. Assist in the analysis ofexperimental results using appropriate software and tools.Summarize findings and contribute to the preparation of researchreports. Compile and update laboratory notebooks, databases, andelectronic records with the detailed records of the experimentalprocedures, observations and results.
Perform other duties asassigned.
Ability to collect and analyzeexperimental data which may include use of and handlingexperimental animals. Must be able to utilize applicable laboratoryequipment necessary for the job, as well as a phone, computer andother office equipment.
