Job Summary

The Senior Research Technician in Siplast R & D is responsible for assisting the Research Scientist in the testing and development of new and innovative products and related technologies. The Senior Research Technician is responsible for supporting current and future product developments, testing, and product code certifications. The individual is also responsible for assisting in test roof installations and analysis of field data. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Essential Duties

• Conduct Laboratory tests and interpret results and present data in report format (10%)
• Analyze results and execute with minimal oversight (10%)

Qualifications (Required)

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
• 0+ years of related experience

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Experienced with various prototyping techniques
• Experience with physical science, materials, physics, or chemistry is strongly preferred

• Good verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
• Interacts with other R&D groups and willingness to participate in Laboratory Safety and Continuous Improvement Teams
• Maintains and audits thorough records in laboratory notebooks, analyzes test results, and issues project reports
• Ability to analyze experimental data and use statistical techniques

• Safety conscious and work in a safe manner
• Assist in all trial runs, field evaluations, and analysis of customer requirements.
• Maintains laboratory equipment in an operable and calibrated condition
• Interacts with vendors to procure equipment, chemicals, and materials for department work
• Ability to present meaningful results and unbiased conclusions orally and graphically to Management
• Composes clear written communications including memos and reports
• Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience with liquid formulation or understanding is beneficial
• Ability to conduct experiments as per test protocols
• Google Sheets or Microsoft Office experience

Minimum Requirements Pay Transparency

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $56,010-$77,014
